Hellenistic Astrology

Hellenistic astrology was developed in Mesopotamia long before the common era – ‘BCE’.

The ancient astrologers believed that each chart holds promises which may be delivered when the relevant parts of the chart are activated.   They also believed that some planets are more benign than others and that whether you were born in the day or at night made a huge difference to your chart.

The Hellenistic astrologers could only see the seven visible planets and produced a form of astrology based around them, and the Stoic and Platonic philosophies of the time.  These philosophies tied together fate and free will.  This means that the stage is set by the stars.  If you walk onto the stage and say the right lines, the promise of the chart will be delivered.
